Templates and example files.
Every row in these files is invented. The names match no real person, the domains are reserved example domains, and the numbers are the reserved range for fiction. Upload one to see what the audit looks like without touching your own data. Template files do not use your free allowance.
Files
template-minimal.csvJust the required column and two optional ones. Three invented rows.
template-full.csvEvery optional column the audit reads, with invented rows that show each state: restriction, unavailable address, held, missing evidence, no blocking signal.
example-email-platform-export.csvThe shape an email platform export usually has, with status, opt-out date and bounce reason columns.
example-mailbox-export.csvA mailbox-style export with too many columns, so you can practise deleting them.
Field guide
- Required. One address per row, exactly as it was supplied. Plus-aliases are kept as they are.
- name
- Optional. Person or business name. Never used to link two rows.
- relationship
- Optional but valuable. One of: enquiry, quote, booking, customer, lapsed. Free text here is ignored.
- last_contact
- Optional. A date. Used for the priority column in the paid audit and for staleness rules.
- status
- Optional but valuable. subscribed, unsubscribed, bounced, complained. Unsubscribed and complained become explicit restrictions; bounced becomes address unavailable.
- opt_out_date
- Optional. When the person opted out. Kept with the restriction as its effective date.
- brand
- Optional. Which of your brands or services the relationship was with.
- phone
- Optional. Stored as a contact point. Phone channels are not assessed in this version and show as "not assessed".
Columns not listed here are ignored by the audit and deleted with the rest of the row on expiry or deletion. Do not include notes, amounts, addresses or anything sensitive.
